Main venue:

The conference will take place at Université Sorbonne Nouvelle, which is located at 8 avenue de Saint Mandé, 75012 Paris.

Public transportation: Nation metro stop on lines 1, 2, 6, 9, RER line A, or Picpus metro stop on line 6. There are also multiple bus stops depending on where you are coming from.

The conference will take place in rooms located in buildings A, B and C of the university campus.

Townhall reception (Day 1 / Tuesday 6 June): Mairie du 12e arrondissement, 130 avenue Daumesnil, 75012 Paris, from 7 pm

A reception will take place at the townhall of the 12^th district on Tuesday 6 June, from 6:45 pm. This social event includes a welcome address by Emmanuelle Pierre-Marie, Mayor of the 12^th district (TBC), and a lecture by historian Alain Ruscio on the frescoes of the Salon français des Outre-Mer (in French, with simultaneous interpretation into English). A cocktail will be served. Members of our local committee will lead participants to the venue.

Public transportation: Dugommier metro stop on line 6, or Montgallet metro stop on line 8, or Daumesnil metro stop on lines 6 and 8.

Poetry reading (Day 2 / Wednesday 7 June): Pavillon d'Indochine, Jardin d'Agronomie Tropicale, Cité du Développement Durable, Nogent-sur-Marne, from 3:30 pm

On Wednesday 7 June, between 2:30 and 3:30, we’ll go on RER A2 (in the direction of Boissy-Saint-Léger) from the University campus (departing from RER station: Nation) to the Jardin d’agronomie tropicale at the Cité du Développement Durable, in the Bois de Vincennes (arriving at RER station: Nogent-sur-Marne). Members of our local committee will lead participants to the venue. Once at the garden, Sneharika Roy will give a keynote lecture inside the Pavillon d’Indochine (3:30-4:30 pm). It will be followed by a reading session with five poets (4:30-5:45), after which drinks and food will be served. Guests will be able to stay until 8:30 (then the team will clean up and  return the keys by 9 pm). Please note that seating inside the Pavilion is limited to 120 so participants need to register in advance by sending an email to <EACLALS2023@sorbonne-nouvelle.fr>.

Public transportation: Cour St Emilion or Bibliothèque François Mitterrand metro stops line 14, or Quai de la Gare metro stop line 6.

The cheapest option is to buy a Navigo Easy pass, sold for €2, which can be topped up from ticket machines at all stations and ticket counters. (Individual tickets are no longer sold.)
